The continuously growing capabilities of mobile devices has inspired our Mobile Apps Development Program, where our team of developers aim at challenging the features of smartphones in the search for their use by oil and gas professionals and by the industry at large.

Our first batch of apps has been developed for iPhones/iPod touch, and can be found in the App Store via your mobile device or iTunes, this is the current list of apps, keep watching as we are continuously adding new ones.

mw0006_App5_zOIP_HiRes_R1
This app uses the volumetric equation to calculate the amount of oil in place for a given reservoir. Also, if you set a Recovery Factor, it will calculate the Recoverable Reserves. The results of the calculations generate a report that can be saved and emailed. Look for future updates that will include probabilistic analyses.

mw0005_App4_zPD_HiRes_R1
This app allows the calculation of the daily rate displaced by a reciprocating pump, based on the stroke length, the strokes per minute, plunger diameter, and the pump volumetric efficiency. By using a Volume Factor for the fluids, this app will produce the daily flow rates for downhole and surface conditions. This app has been created having in mind the calculations for Sucker Rod Pumps, but they can be applied to any reciprocating pump. zPD generates a report with the inputs and the results of the calculations, which can be saved and emailed. Watch for future updates implementing multiplunger pumps calculations.

mw0004_zIPR_High Res
This app is based on the Vogel method for the obtention of IPR curves. After you input basic well and field data, and information about the reservoir and well test, this app will generate a table with the data for Well Flowing Pressures and the corresponding Flow Rates. The data from the table is also showed on a graph, and all the inputs and results generate a report that can be saved and emailed. Watch for future updates with additional IPR obtention methods.

mw0003_zPVT Final Hi Res Large
This app is based on correlations used for the calculations of the following properties: Bubble Point Pressure, Gas Solubility, Oil Volume Factor, Dead and Saturated Oil Viscosities. For each of these properties, the app has the option of using several correlations. The results from the calculations generate a report that can be saved and emailed. Watch for future updates including new correlations for more properties.

mw0002_R1_zESP_cropped
An ESP sizing application for Oil & Gas professionals. This app is based on the first part of API RP-11S4 standard. It allows the calculation of the different elements for an Electrical Submersible Pump System: number of stages, motor power, cable size and wellhead rating. The application generates a report that can be saved and emailed. Watch for future updates with more features for improved accuracy.
